Rosie Boa?s Café (The Captain of Your Ship)
© Gregory Patzner / Phantom Roc Music Co. (ASCAP) 2006
I went dancing at Rosie Boa?s Café
I was a teenage idol long ago, or so they say
There was this girl that really caught my eye
And when she looked at me I went shootin? through the sky
Well I fell all to pieces just like a meteorite
She said oh man are you feelin? alright?
Well you don?t have to worry, this woman won?t bite
So she takes my hand and we hit the floor
You?re the one I?m lookin? for
[Chorus]
Don?t want to be the captain, the captain of your ship
Just want to be your lover, someone you can?t resist
Well she kicked off her heels and took off my coat
Did the jive jumble to my dead man?s float
The captain, the captain of your ship
Feelin? so good, havin? so much fun tonight
Well we got in the car, she locked the door
You?re the one I?m lookin? for.
[Chorus] x 6
