Story Behind The Song
This is one of those songs that just comes to you in five minutes. I wrote it pretty much as it is here in roughly five minutes and recorded this "demo" myself.
Song Description
A lilting, lo-fi sing-along with a simple story but a deeper application. It is a story of joy as well as fear and conquering fear. The song is structured to resemble the journey of the characters in the song, beginning with their arrival at the desert island, their journey home, the confusion and fear in the midst of the ocean, and finally, their joyful arrival.

Lyrics
Oh well it?s time
We drew another line
In the sand, to keep the creatures away
From our cave
Because I?ve got
A funny feeling, but it?s not
So hot, so hot, so hot
Well I thought that
It might be smart to go
To the water, to try to find a place we know
But there?s nothing
But water for miles and miles
And miles, and miles, and miles
So we jumped in a kayak and paddled and paddled
Until there was nothing behind us to see
And then we went further, out into this big
Mystery, we call the sea
When we got tired
And the lights went out
We couldn?t keep on
We had to close our eyes
And hope
To just make it through the whole night
Yeah alright
In the morning
When the sun shined on your head
I felt no motion
Oh in my waterbed
And that?s about when
We heard a loud noise overhead
And we said, and we said
We said, ?Open your eyes and look at the sky
There?s an airplane dancing over our heads?
We started to cry as the cars passed us by
And we knew we were finally home
