All Hell Broke Loose
Words and Music: Graeme Connors
From somewhere out of her chequered past he walked into her life again
Like an unexpected storm turning all her plans on end
She rolled her eyes and cleared her throat as all her dreams went up in smoke
The moment she had dread so long had finally come
He stared at her from across the bar and threw a crumpled twenty down
She tried pretending he wasn?t there til he said, ?can?t a man get a drink in this town?
That?s when something inside her snapped and she screamed ?I?m not takin? anymore of that? picked up the nearest empty glass and threw it at him
And all hell broke loose in the public bar
Like world war three was about to start
I ran for cover as the air turned blue
Cause when a man and a woman fight
What can you do?
She jumped the bar with a bottle in her hand and grabbed the nearest snooker cue
He held a stool up to defend himself the way old lion tamers used to do
Then he threw an ashtray and hit her in the head and she went down like she was dead
I heard somebody yell ?call the cops? but no one moved
Chorus...
Then she sprang to her feet swinging that cue hit him so hard I heard bones crack
He staggered once and dropped to his knees and she broke that cue across his back
Then she set to hitting him some more til he yelped and limped toward the door
She turned around dusted her hands and said ?Boys the drinks are on me?
Chorus..........
