Song Description

i took the opportunity to turn this song into an anthem, i imagined being a spy and going inside the body and destroying the cancer that was taking over my fathers body, hence the james bond feel and the over the top horn arrangements.

Story Behind the Song

i wrote this song after seeing my father die of cancer. i watched the way his body was being destroyed by the disease and somehow in amoungst it all there was this sense of hope and freedom that i hadn't experienced before.

Lyrics

v1
Words spill like wine from my lips onto empty ears
Where there is nothing too be found
My words fall too the ground

v2
These words seem jagged and untamed and empty again
And there is everything too fear
My eyes release a tear

chorus
He was burnt and crispy
Revealing the mystery
He was deeply infected
But remaining completely connected to everything

v3
All steamed up out of control - the mystery unfolds
Time forces us too face the fear - the time itself draws near
