I was just in a contemplative state of mind when I thought about how blessed I was to have a beautiful daughter; and then my thoughts drifted to a not so distant past, when I was feeling very lonely because those who I thought were my friends, turned their backs on me. And I came back to the present and ralized that I don't need them; I realzed that I was (am) more blessed now than I was then. Sooo... "Thank you for the blessings"

Song Description

The fist verse is saying thank you for blessinng me with a daughter. The sub-bridge addresses the issue of "when i do bad, you bless me with a way out of the situation". And the chourus simply says "thank you for the blessings". The second verse addresses the issue of "when friends forsake me I call your name and you bless me with a helping hand".
