I may as well cut down some trees before I headed for home

Now logging trees is dangerous work
One snowy day, I slipped, got hurt
Chainsaw cut deep into my leg
The emergency room was a 2 hour drive
By the time I got there I was barely alive
Just able to hear the doctor say

Well the hospital's a dreadful place
But my outlook changed when I saw the face
of the nurse that worked from night till day
It must have been some chemical reaction
or some positive negative type attraction
But it seemed I just had to say
"I don'k know your plans to the situation as it stands, but would
