Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I was living in London a few winters ago, I hit a low point. It was dark, I got dumped, and I was working too hard. I began a journal entry about the break-up, and by the time I hit the second paragraph, these lyrics came out word for word. This song is a metaphor for my life. I strive to take risks, to live openly like a dancing child in the waves even when messages from the media, authority figures, etc may try to convince me to conform.
Song Description
In order to live up to our lives, we must take risks (dance and plunge into the waves), even though there are distractions (sounds) that may wake us up from our dreams. This is a prayer to the "primordeal beat". Help us to continue to live out our dreams and take risks even when society may be pushing us in another direction.

Lyrics
Let the waves crash over my head.
Dance the surf like a chlid.
Eager
Let the waves crash over my head.
Step into the sea.
With me.
Chorus:
We are aware that we must dance.
live up to our lives.
Sounds of people awakening me,
From my dreams.
A pulse throughout.
Primordeal beat keep us moving.
Chorus: We are aware...2x
Let the waves crash over my head.
Dance the surf like a child.
Eager.
Chorus: We are aware...2.5x
