Shadow River

Story Behind The Song

I had driven by this location for years and was always very taken by the imagery the name places in this area conjured up. The seeds of the idea for this song came from a poem written in the late 1800's by E. Pauline Johnson.

Song Description

The Shadow River is located about a half hour drive from my home in Northern Ontario Canada. The Laughing Loon Lane is an actual street just down the way from the River. As to the Jester I'll leave that up to the listener to come to their own conclusion.
