Written in Dmajor for female soprano vocals at 135 bpm. Begins with first verse accompanied by keyboard. At:36, bass and vibraphone enter a "bridge" in the verse, adding depth and creating a holiday feel with the vibraphone acting as bells. The chorus begins at about:50, literally counting to symbolize counting the days to Christmas in the lyrics of the song. The second verse begins about 1:20 into the song, following the same pattern as the first verse, leading into a bridge and chorus. The chorus repeats itself then, counting backwards in the lyrics to symbolize the arrival of Christmas and adding two lines to the chorus. It ends with a simple fade.
