Story Behind The Song
Strumming away one day on one of my many ukuleles, I found myself composing a song about my current state of financial embarrassment in such a way that I could laugh at myself and the absurdity of it all.
Song Description
Funky little blues number talking about the fact that poverty is not what it's cracked up to be. Get up and dance those blues out the window!

Lyrics
Ain't got one dollar in my hand
Nothin' up my sleeve and
I can't get a credit card to pay my bills
No money in the bank
Nothin' in my think tank
I'm a runnin' on empty
Man I've had my fill
I'm just a lonely one-man show
A nobody, nobody wants to know
I've worked so hard to pay my dues
But now I've nothin' left to lose
Nothin' but the blues
So tired of sittin' on the fence
I'm at the limit of my patience
I can't play this waiting game indefinitely
So give me one last shot
Can't tell you why, so why not?
I wanna pick me some fruit
From off that money tree
I'm just a lonely one-man show
A nobody, nobody wants to know
I've worked so hard to pay my dues
But now I've nothin' left to lose
Nothin' but the blues
Blu-u-u-ues, Blu-u-u-ues etc...
I'm gonna take this one-man show
Be someone, somebody wants to know
While I'm still standin' in my shoes
I got nothin' left to lose
Nothin' but the blues
