Story Behind The Song
Jim, bass player for Destruction Evolution wrote this instrumental while thinking about his youth in Texas while his ranching family would play their instruments around the fire. This song is very personal to him and very well played.
Song Description
When you think of sitting on the back porch at night, popping the lid on a cold one and just looking out over the river or swamp behind your house, this song serves as a reminder to the simpler things in life. Featuring slide guitar (Dobro), acoustic, bass and a thumping kick drum, this instrumental was driven from the swamps and onto the back porch from the Concho River. It even features a bunch of crickets "singing" the outtro.
