Story Behind The Song
My sister had a 30 year high school reunion coming up and she'd asked me to do a couple of songs for the event. I wrote the song on the edge of that experience. Subconsciously, I guess you could say since I didn't set out to write about the reunion. I played it at the event and my sister came to the mic to sing with me.

Lyrics
Well we would fish at night underneath the stars
And we would gather fireflies in old fruit jars
Holding hands underneath the moon
I held you close at the high school dance
Just a kid, I never knew about romance
But the whole world was in your eyes
And I thought
It?s a small world after all
After graduation went our separate ways
I married once or twice
and had some difficult days
Now and then I?d hear your name
I had a boy & a girl down along the line
They have kids of their own
and they?re doing just fine
Tonka Toys & model trains
And they sing
It?s a small world after all
Yes, it?s a small world after all
Well I moved out of state
to try and make ends meet
I?ve done pretty well
and my life has been so sweet
I turned around
and there you stood
Same crooked smile
and your eyes of blue
There?d never be a day
that I didn?t know you
High school sweetheart
and my first love
And you said
Well it?s a small world after all
Yes it?s a small world after all
