Lyrics
5 Year Old?s Blues
Dave Hawkins
I?m just sittin? in my sandbox
Feelin? ?bout as low as low could be
I already asked my mommy
Why can?t I find someone to play with me
Yeh, I?m so blue (Boo Hoo Hoo)
About as blue as could be (Oh Dear Me!)
I?m the loneliest five year old in the world
No one to play with me
I?ve got two older sisters
And an older brother too
But mom says they?re too old and busy to play with me
All I can do is sit and cry ? boo hoo C/
Now I?ve got a baby sister
In a couple of years mom says I can play with her
Right now all my baby sister is good at
It eatin? and fillin? up her diaper! C/
Watchin? Barney on the TV
Everybody?s havin? fun
I think I?ll call up my big purple dinosaur friend
We can jump, skip and run C/
Well, I got out on my tricycle
Rode the sidewalk along my street
What do you suppose happened
Another five year old I did meet!
Now I?m so happy (Yip Yipee)
No longer have the blues (No Boo Hoo)
Me and my best friend sittin? in my sandbox
Playin? and wearin? no shoes
