Story Behind The Song
Matt Snipes was a great friend of mine in Junior High School. We played baseball, football, soccer and were even in the band together. Everyone loved Matt Snipes. We had this goofy thing we did in the 8th grade, where we would dig into our childhood toybox and bring in a priceless treasure as we called it and would exchange them with each other. But the rule was that the exchange came with a story behind the insignificant toy. Our priceless treasure exchange seemed silly at the time, but it was a true exchange of person. Matt Snipes went on to another High School and passed away his senior year with Leukemia. This song was written for him.

Lyrics
Priceless Treasures
Music and Words by: Daniel R. Pearson
Verse 1
Time, a touch of rain
Tears, a sense of pain
A crying heart looks up above to say a prayer
And that heart is always there
Through the changes and the strife
Blessings of hope are seen in life
Chorus
Your priceless treasures are your friends
A special feeling that never ends
Another hope, another day
Another chance to say
Verse 2
When a day, breaks the sun
No smile has lost, has just begun
A crying laughter keeps the faith that must prove strong
And holds the treasures that belong
The dreams of dreamers are stood still
Without the blessings of God?s will
Chorus
Your priceless treasures are your friends
A special feeling that never ends
Another hope, another day
Another chance to say
