Story Behind The Song
two years after dating my girlfriend, i knew it was time to break things off. for weeks i'd bring it up and she would convince me that things would change. and they did for a week, but after that i found myself in the same place as i did two weeks ago. too much fighting and too many games were going on. so i told her it was over, and that thier was nothing else to say about it. kind of cruel, but i needed to do what was best for me.
Song Description
we all know when a reltionship is over. you can tell. it doesn't matter how nice the person is, or how good thier attributes are, because what attracted you to them in the first place, doesn't hold up any more. the easy part is knowing it. the hard part of a break up is going through it. this song is that.

i don't know where to start
or how to tell you
i need to be alone
i can't take it anymore
this is falling apart
it's time to let us go
chorus:
We're better off as friends
i know what it's like to loose
We're better off as friends
breakin' up aint easy to do
verse:
im tired of playing you're games
world war for two
trying to break you down
has become so easy to do
i don't want to hurt you
or lead you on
but it's time for us to move on
chorus:
We're better off as friends
i know what it's like to loose
We're better off as friends
breakin' up aint easy to do
bridge:
a little louder now
your not around
i can still hear you
drowning me out
trying
