Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song one night on my parents pourch after speaking with my younger brother about a problem he was dealing with. Everything seemed to be going well with me and it was all looking rough for him. He felt that God must love me more or something. I wrote this song with that conversation in mind.
Read Psalm 139:1-12 in the Bible.
Song Description
Sometimes it feels like God is very distant and has no clue what's going on in our lives, but it is during those times that we learn to trust Him.

Lyrics
Black Cloud
Verse 1:
Black cloud hanging over my head; yet, I know that you hear me.
So thick, I can?t see where you stand; yet I know that you?re near me.
Chorus:
Sometimes I feel so far down here. You seem so far away.
I guess I?ll just trust. I know that you will hear me when I pray.
Sometimes I feel so far down here. You?re so far away.
I?m learning to trust you more today; as I sit and wait.
Verse 2:
Sitting here looking up at the stars; do you live beyond them?
So much happening here, does it all drown out my prayers?
Bridge:
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I run from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I make my home in the depths of the earth
or run to the far side of the sea; even there you?re with me.
