Story Behind The Song
One evening between performing songs, I stepped out on the balcony outside. There was a full moon that night and the wind gently kissed my face. It took me back to my childhood where I too had found a place of peace.

Lyrics
Let's Go Get Kissed by the Wind
copyright August 1998
by Cory Cavill Tompkins
Verse 1
Five children were left home alone.
Their mom spent her time in a bar downtown.
Finally, the oldest led them out the back door,
down to the river and its golden shore.
Chorus
Let's go get kissed by the wind.
Let's go get hugged by the sky.
We can be loved by so many things
when we open our eyes and pretend.
Verse 2
The river gave them rainbow trout.
Their pockets were filled with the apples they found.
A raccoon talked to them from a cottonwood tree
and just for a moment they knew they were free.
