The idea of Texas Medicine was inspired by a mention of that in a Bob Dylan song called Stuck Inside of Mobile with The Memphis Blues Again. He sang, "The rainman gave me two cures. He said, Jumpr right in. One was Texas Medicine. The other was just railroad gin."
The writers were members of Dr. Fry's Texas Medicine Band (one was just a lyricist)

A woman is capitivating a man by her dance, her moves, and he is full of desire. The Chorus is subject to the interpretation of the listener, in that Texas Medicine is not defined explicitly. The captivating aspect of the song is the pounding beat, to me anyway.
