Song Description

A song that can remind me in the midst of daily struggles or relationship issues that looking out across a body of water can always calm me down. Being close to a source of inspiration like water has a pull that can get me out of my head and remind me of the universal life that we're all a part of.

Story Behind the Song

An inspirational song that I wrote to calm myself down and remind me that we're all connected... the feeling that I get when I'm close to water.

Lyrics

i'll wait in the sand for you
just wait as the ocean comes
till you're ready to get all wet
till you're ready to wait for me

by the ocean the time does go
but i've no where else to be
i wonder if you see me grow
i wonder if you know

nothing but the waves
nothing but the sea
nothing but the water
can untie me

it's always deeper when i'm here
cause i forget what i'm made of
the physicality of fear
the physicality of love

and when i wait for you to come
i tell myself you're all i need
i tell myself you're everything
i tell myself i'm incomplete

nothing but the waves
nothing but the sea
nothing but the water
can untie me
