Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I was 12 on my piano a few days after my family and I came home from a racetrack. That's where I met a certain boy I liked very much until I found out he already had a girlfriend. We were all sitting under a tent when I met the girl, but after awhile I announced I had to leave. I cried all the way home.

Lyrics
I'm not mad at you or anything
I just can't afford to buy a cure
To stop the sting
Of you and her, the way you cling to each other
Man, you sure had quite the nerve to
Show me who was the new queen you serve to
Guess when the road is shaky you swerve to another
BRIDGE:
You are too good at this game
You ended the story by causing me bitter shame
You didn't even remember my name, you remember hers
CHORUS:
You change like the colors on the trees
You're cold as the evening autumn breeze
Whenever I speak one word, you'll disagree
And I've been chained to my hopes for much too long
Though I've washed my hands they still feel a little damp
I lose myself in fantasy then my heart gets a cramp
Being with you was fun but now I should just let it slide
Down the ramp
Looks shouldn't be the only thing included
Thanks to your trap door my heart is now polluted
Into our good times I used to be recruited, then goodbye it waves
You used to exist
But now you'll just remain a memory
You floated in the mist
And I know you'll only cause catastrophe
BRIDGE REPEAT
CHORUS REPEAT
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
CHORUS REPEAT
But now you'll just remain a memory, a memory
