When my grandson asked me about memories of my life when I was his age (8) for a school project, I had to go back to some of my favorite memories in upstate New York.

What did a boy do in the 50's when the first snowfall came? He did pretty much the same as kids now-a-days, got really happy 'cause he knew Christmas was just around the corner.

and off to someone's backyard we would go
choose a fox and all the rest were geese
We'd shuffle off to make the paths
and the fox to catch his "feast"
