I liked the arrangement , you sang it very well. It was a good song, I enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this tune. I'm not really a country music guy but this seems a perfect fit for country radio. I appreciated the fact that the vocal was up-front and all the lyrics could be heard. Liked the vocalist and the instrumental backup was clean and supportive. Good tune, simple but effective lyrics and a nice hook.

Lyrics

Second Best aren't good enough for me

I am staring at your angry eyes
Waiting for your desperate cries
While you tell me
How I did you wrong

Guilty secrets echo loud
I'm disappearing in the crowd
Of your happy fans
You're always strong

Did you hear me once?
Can you recall a time?
Did you give me a chance?
Do I still wait in line?
But no more! This stops now
I know when and I know how
Your spell is gone. This time I'm free
Cause second best just aren't good enough for me

You made me feel like I'm no good
Like you are simply misunderstood
And that I'm selfish
All the time

Gave you all I got and a little more
Nothing changed it was like before
No pleasing you
A waste of time

Did you hear me once?
Can you recall a time?
Did you give me a chance?
Do I still wait in line??
But no more! This stops now
I know when and I know how
Your spell is gone. This time I'm free
Cause second best just aren't good enough for me

No flowers, jewelry will do this time
My spirit's drained; you're out of line
Second best aren't good enough for me x2
