Song DescriptionThis is a happy song about getting drunk and stoned
Story Behind the SongI was asked to sing at a rally held by Minnesota NORML, promoting the legalisation of marijuana. I wrote this song in honor of that day.
Lyrics
Whatever happened to the time when a man could buy a bag for a dime and he didn't have to snort a line just to make it through the day. He had no use for exstacy, well maybe sometime LSD but for me it's green and a little Bombay.
(Chorus)
A onie full of maryjane two hotdogs from the holiday, finish off my third Bombay. Times are tough and the money's thin but I'll get on up and do it again thanks to maryjane and Bombay Gin.
Well, Sapphire and purple kush give me that extra added push and in my mind I'm out in the bush and the concrete floats away. A little gin and julliet, haven't smoked a bad one yet (and I'll)chase that gin with ak-48.
(chorus)
Some people sneer and others scoff but if you don't cough you don't get off, just somethin' to smoke and somethin' to quaff and I'll be at my best. When the concrete world starts gettin' me down, somethin' natural takes away my frown (and) by now I'm pretty sure you know the rest.
(chorus)
