Lyrics

The Lonely
©2014 Greg Lambert

It's the lonely
The heartache
Thinking about you

The hunger
And thirsting
Won't go away

It's the waiting
The longing
Barely existing

It's the hoping, the unknowing
Night and day

Chorus
Lonely in love
Will I ever know
When all my dreams will come true

My heart's not in
Anything I do
I'm lonely in love
Lonely for you

Instrumental

Bridge
I dream of what it will be like
Two of us together every night

It's the lonely
The heartache
Thinking about you

In the morning
The evening
And the afternoon

Chorus

i've heard this before, and still like it, the instrumentation very pro, the concept an old one but still fine...i like the bridge in this tune most believe it or not...i like the vocal, rough style is cool.

Solid instrumental performance. I can hear a Bob Seeger-style influence in the structure of the song.

I loved the intro of the song, it was a beuatiful guitar lick. your voice was rough and tender at the same time, which is wonderful for country music. The hook was very memorable and easy to sing. It kind of borders on country and folk as far as style goes. I liked it, good luck with it.
