Song Description

This song has several distinct melodic parts, changing moods from solitary, poignant to anthemic, a very radio friendly number for the right artist and producer.

Story Behind the Song

We worked on this song for a long time. A survey of 100 friends over one year reported it be among our best and we are proud of it. It's a comlex but commercial song, one that sits the 80's revival we are in right now. It's about love, why people want it, looks at why they fail and suggests that the rules of the game are harder than we think....

Lyrics

When you're all alone and you're feeling small
and you don't know where you are.
You call into the distance
'cos you wanted love, you wanted love...

You want it good but you got it bad
you want to be full of good lovin'.
Guess you don't where to find it, no no
guess you don't know where to look...

And it's been like this for a thousand years
and it' gonna be that way for a million more..

Chorus

And I guess I know the reason, you can cover it with lies
accuse my heart of treason, you can throw me to the fire
I know that underneath it all
you wanted love
you wanted love...

Oooh, Good Lovin'
Oooh, Good Lovin'

When you're all alone and your feeling small
and you don't know where you are...
You're mounting your resistance
cos you wanted love, you wanted love

You want it good but you got it bad
you want to be full of good lovin'.
Guess you don't know where to find it, no no
guess you don't know where to look...

And it's been like this for a thousand years
and it's gonna be that way for a million more

Chorus

And it's been like this for a thousand years
and it's gonna be that way for a million more

Chorus to fade
