Song Description

Upbeat country lyrics that describe the fact that "American Rednecks" are the one's bent over in the sun getting all the work done.

Story Behind the Song

I was once talking to a manufacturing executive and was joking about someone being a redneck, when he scolded me by saying, "Don't ever call a man a redneck, because he's the one bent over in the sun doing all the work." Having been a "part-time" redneck myself, while still climbing the corporate ladder, I never forgot those words of wisdom, and wrote the entire song in my hot tub one Saturday in about 45 minutes!
