Story Behind The Song

Some people see the world differently than most. They don't let society decide for them what is "cool" and what isn't - they make up their own minds. Baniver is one of those people. He takes his own path, whether or not anyone else approves, and in doing so, he opens his life to all possibilities. He trusts his ability to deal with the challenges his unconventional attitude creates for him, and the scars he bears prove there has been no lack of them. But, then, freedom is never free. One day the world will realize that virtually all of mankind's giant steps forward have been made by the Banivers of this world; they should be treasured for their ability to see what others can't - not vilified for their unwillingness to conform to society's expectations. Until then, you'll find us on the backroads doing what we do best... Being ourselves.

Song Description

Contemplative and melodic guitar is blown out by a hi-energy frenzy, then reassert themselves as things calm down. But the energy can't be kept down, and blasts out again. After a couple of these cycles, hostilities cease and the two styles join forces for the ending.
