Story Behind The Song

I wanted to write a very impressionistic jazz piece, while remaining accessible. Originally written for trio, it was expanded to sextet for lusher harmonies.

Song Description

A lush, floating jazz ballad for flugelhorn, two trumpets and rhythm section. The flugelhorn plays the melody, followed by solos from soprano sax, flugelhorn and piano. Then the melody returns to close the tune.
