Story Behind The Song
Lots of deep contemplation takes place in the saddle of my Harley Davidson 883. I was riding along some back roads one early summer day and the scent of honey suckle growing on the fence row was intoxicating. Life is good when you take time to smell the honey suckle. And so Good Life was born.
Song Description
Good living shouldn't be defined by the clothes we wear, the car we drive, or how much money we make. Glamour doesn't equal good; quality supersedes quality. Living good sometimes means setting your own benchmarks for success.

Lyrics
Good Life
By: Beth Davidson, copyright 2005
I got an old guitar I taught myself to play.
I pull it out when I feel a little down or I?m in a bad way.
Pop an 8-track in of Old Hank Williams songs.
Cause old Hank don?t mind when I try to strum along.
Got a Harley in the drive where I guess my car should be.
Don?t impress a lot of folks in their mini-vans and SUV?s.
There ain?t nothing? sweeter than a honey-suckle-on-a-fence-row high.
When I need a taste of freedom I just twist the grips and let her fly!
CHORUS:
Yeah, I?m livin? a good life. I ain?t a made for T.V. wife.
What you get is what you see.
Yeah, I learned it?s okay to say ?I quit?, if that corporate suit don?t fit,
And walk away with my dignity.
I can?t tell you name on the label of my favorite blue jeans.
There?s a hole in the pocket and they?re worn a little thin at the seams.
I don?t need a magazine fashion-queen tellin? me it?s alright.
Cause these ol? jeans go perfect with a beer on a Saturday night.
CHORUS (?God loves me for what you see?)
Repeat Chorus
Mmmmm. A real good life.
