Story Behind The Song
A simple , tongue-in-cheek, reflection of getting older and trying to come to terms with it.
Song Description
A man is bemoaning the fact that he's aging so fast, and that time seems to be passing him by so quickly. His body hurts and he feels he's no longer attractive and vital. He does, however, acknowledge that he's living well, and, just maybe, he's got some good years left, after all.

Lyrics
Old Man Blues
What am I doing here? Turned around and there went twenty years.
Yesterday, I?sa boy. Playin? in a puddle with my favorite toys.
These days I feel older than dirt. Every bone in my body really hurts.
I?m a-railin? and a-fightin? at these old man blues.
I used to walk down the street, all flashin? eyes and shufflin? feet.
Some girls, passin? by would give a little grin and the evil eye.
But, now, nobody stares. They just walk on by like I ain?t there.
I?m a-railin? and a-fightin? these old man blues.
(Chorus)
Well, I look in a mirror and I can?t believe
What the ravages of time have done to me.
If I had the whole thing to do over again,
There?d be a littlle more effort and a lot less sin.
Oh well...what the hell? I gotta good woman and I?m eating well.
There she is, lookin? fine, all wet from a shower and she?s all mine.
I gotta bid you all adieu, I just thought of something I gotta do.
I gotta go tell Mama ?bout these old man blues.
