Story Behind The Song
Based on a similar real life account experienced by Barry Russo, in which he was actually encouraged by an audience member on a night where it seemed that everything else was going wrong.
Song Description
Singer/performer comes to a realization while dealing with the frustration of a seemingly oblivious audience. Out there among all of the nightly visitors to this establishment is a woman who is indeed listening intently, and on whom his music has an effect. In the subsequent eye contact between these two, the singer feels a renewed sense of fulfillment and purpose.

Lyrics
THERE'S ME
(Barry Russo, Shay Watson)
Another Friday night at East Bay
The crowd comes stumbling in
Stuck behind this corner piano
Is anyone listening?
Sometimes I wanna look at them and scream
THERE'S ME
Have you noticed that I'm here?
THERE'S ME
Behind the crowd, the smoke, and the beer
Beneath the neon lights
I try to make it through another night
THERE'S ME
I see her watching from across the room
As her brown eyes lock with mine
Lonely, searching, intensely hearing
Each phrase, each lyrical line
Without a word she looks at me and speaks
Chorus:repeat
Her face says I've made a difference
Sometimes that's all I need
THERE'S ME
Now I know why I'm here
THERE'S ME
Behind the crowd, the smoke, and the beer
Beneath the neon lights
I've finally made it through this night
THERE'S ME
Now I know why I'm here
THERE'S ME
Behind the crowd, the smoke, and the beer
THERE'S ME
