Story Behind The Song
Somewhere between 2008 and 2012, I purchased Pat Pattison's lyric-writing book and two workbooks ("Writing Better Lyrics," Songwriting: Essential Guide to Rhyming," and "Songwriting: Essential Guide to Lyric Form and Structure") from Berklee Online.
I worked through all of them. Recently, I was looking through them again and came across these lyrics. I decided to throw them at AI and see what it came up with--and I love the result!
Song Description
I think of "Tired of This Charade" as female power pop-rock, but Broadjam doesn't have that category available for selection.
This woman has decided she's had enough of worry, strife, emotional abuse, broken promises, and lies. She's also decided she won't let herself be invisible and unimportant. She's decided to make the changes she needs for her own self-worth and mental health.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Whatever happened to being adored?
When did it change to ignored?
How can I stay here without getting hurt?
Existing like this is absurd
Chorus:
No more living with this tension
Worried and afraid
Time to take a new direction
I'm TIRED OF THIS CHARADE
Verse 2:
Lately I feel I'm just one of the crowd
Present yet somehow left out
Promises kept are a thing of the past
Guess love never did have a chance
Chorus:
No more living with this tension
Worried and afraid
Time to take a new direction
I'm TIRED OF THIS CHARADE
Bridge:
Funny how things change
Adoration fades
Betrayal devastates
But I won't wait
I'll choose my fate
Chorus:
No more living with this tension
Worried and afraid
Time to take a new direction
I'm TIRED OF THIS CHARADE
Outro:
I'm tired, so TIRED OF THIS CHARADE
