Story Behind The Song

One day, as I was browsing through some Facebook posts, I noticed a beautiful wedding picture on my timeline. A friend's parents were about to celebrate their 60th anniversary and he was giving them a warm congratulations. The picture and the story behind it inspired this song that I've posted. These two people were a living testament that despite many of the obstacles that we face in life, the union of marriage can survive.

Song Description

The song was written in a day, recorded the next day, sat around for about 2 weeks, and then mixed. I sent it to the friend I had written it for, and he forwarded it to his parents. They all loved it, as well as, the sentiments behind the gesture. His mom sent me a beautiful letter thanking me for acknowledging her 60 year marriage in my song. The version I posted was one of two. The other is an acoustic guitar/vocal only rendition.
