Story Behind The Song
This song started as a tongue and cheek play on having sex with a vampire (loosely based on movies and books such as Twilight, and True Blood), but eventually became more generalized as being about someone who is in a manipulative relationship.
Song Description
This is a slow tempo rock, electronic, dubstep song with tenor vocals and includes synthesizer and electronic drum parts. It starts off with just bass and drums and vocals with added synthesizer effects thrown in. The dubstep breakdowns are heavy and very similar to something you might hear in a Skrillex, or Tobacco song. The lyrics talk about someone who is in complete darkness and regretting letting a past love into his life. He talks about the fact that she was clearly using and abusing him, but she is too alluring to him to be without her. Eventually it is disclosed that she had buried him alive and left him for dead, and thus he dug himself out and his returning to her. Whether it is a part of his addiction to her or revenge is up to the listener to decide.
