Story Behind The Song

Candy Kisses was written about a long term romantic friendship with a person who shares a strong mutual attraction but many differences as well. We will often sneak away together for weekends in Vegas or LA. There is a push/pull, hot/cold kind of struggle as we go through the ups and downs of our undefined relationship. But we somehow always manage come back together and he is always the love of my life in spite of our challenges.

Candy Kisses is a lighthearted fun relaxed up tempo song with a kicked back reggae flavor to the beat. It begins with missing his candy sweet kisses and the times we spent at a hotel in Vegas. The chorus speaks of our differences in personality, we have opposing views but in spite of those differences he is everything to me. The second verse points out that he is careful while I am carefree, he is serious, I am silly. I tend to do the opposite of what he says. The bridge states that I like him the way he is, don't change anything!
