Still lies the sea
of unbounded pure consciousness
shining, abiding in silent repose.
Rapt in the joy of its infinite only-ness,
a motionless ocean entirely alone.
But how can the One
ever see its own boundlessness?
For the seen and the seer are two.

Hark! for a sound softly stirs in the silentness.
O there is no sweetness
as sweet as that sound.
The spark and the seed
and the source of createdness,
with wholeness in motion creation is found.
Moved by the longing to know
its own knowingness,
the known and the knower are born.

Now it waits for a voice
that?s awake to its timelessness
for thrilling and filling the stillness with sound.
And it longs for a heart
that can move in its tenderness
for melting and sending the sweetness around.
On the watch for an eye to perceive its pure goldenness,
and an ear that can hear silence sing.

The sound that began
now is found as a symphony,
Swinging and ringing in rhythm divine.
Measured in the rhymes of its radiant melody,
creation unfolds in the sequence of time.
Yet hung in the heart of its boundless diversity,
pure consciousness stays only One.
