Story Behind The Song
Written as a fantasy of what a rodeo clown's life might have been like.
Song Description
Rodeo clowns are often bronco riders who outgrew the job or weren't good enough to make it as a rider. In this case, my character is also wondering about his sexuality, and befriends the rodeo queen to find comfort in the face of his own dishonesty.

Lyrics
He never thought he'd seen such a lonesome place
Wherever he had been was painted on his face
His talent was just shy, he's not a handsome guy
But he's out there in the Wild World
A hero in the Wild World
He thought he might collide worlds in the magic of the Wild World
A funny man is fighting bulls, protecting men who get the girls
The jackpot won't belong to him
Admiring crowds won't help him win the love that he deserves
In love he has no nerves
But he's out there in the Wild World
A hero in the Wild World
He thought he might collide worlds in the magic of the Wild World
He has a full case of makeup to rival the rodeo queen's
And his only survival (his female companion) is open to share
What this rodeo clown is not being out there
In the Wild World
A hero in the Wild World
He thought he might collide worlds in the magic of the Wild World
