Story Behind The Song
Just reading a text on US involvment in Central and South America in the 1950's & 60's.
Song Description
The concept of original sin is neither fresh nor unique. It is, however, interesting if you consider that we, as indivuals, may learn our ability to "sin". So the question is posed; is our behaviour a function of what we are, or is it a function of what we are taught? And, what do we do with the answer should we ever find one?

Lyrics
As I sit in wonder, as I touch the air
As I take the time to think, ask me if I care
Do I really have control over what I?ve done
Is it me or just the things that I have taught my son
What is my answer where?s this race begin
Who is responsible for my original sin
Is it me or how I think that causes me to do
Do I act this way because you told me what is true
Deep inside my memory I hear a distant call
I remember when I was taught how to stop a fall
But was is just a fall I broke or was it part of me
Something died inside I live in fear of what I?ll be
What is my answer where?s this race begin
Who is responsible for my original sin
I believe in education I believed my mom & dad
How can I embrace this world and turn my back on all the peace I?ve had
Every time I look at you I see a different face
Every time I turn around I wind up in some other place
What is my answer and where does this race begin
Who is responsible for my original sin (3x)
