I liked the arrangement and instrumentation and the vocal. Nice song. But I thought the subject matter limits the song in licensing, etc.

Beautiful heartfelt song. Many can relate that have a daughter. I feel it's a universal song. Great job. Nice vocals too. I really enjoyed this one. Great match of melody and words.

    - Marilyn Oakley

Verse 1

You were born into our family, a bouncing baby girl
Full of hope and innocence, your new eyes opened to the world
You changed our lives forever, for better not for worse
A precious child with a chance to grow, and the will to make it work

You were smart, you were shy
You had a sparkle in your eye
Your pretty smile, your little curls
You're mom and daddy's little girl
You were everything you made us complete
You finished off a perfect family

Verse 2

Growing up was sometimes tough, the youngest one of three
But you held your own and you fought when it was something you believed
Every year you grew in body, mind, and soul
The decisions you made and the battles you faced set you far beyond your goals

Verse 3(optional)

You set off, left it all behind, you faced the world alone
You went away to school, gained friends, and the respect of those back home
You have succeeded, there?s nothing you can?t achieve
You?ve earned your place in this world, but in this family you?ve always been

Now you've got your man, you've got his love
You've got a blessing up above
You have everything your life is almost complete
Now it's time to start your own perfect family
