Very original take on what mother nature can dish out to us, and the fact that we must accept it and move on. Very good lyrics and very well put together musically as well. Nice arrangement and recording.

Sounds very 70s-ish to me ...sort of like Yacht rock ... liked the little key change in the bridge just before the chorus. Very straightforward song. Pleasant to the ears.

love the intro with that organ sound leads into an instantly catchy track with a feel good sound. The singer has a classically good country voice which is real easy to listen to. The song would not be out of place on the radio and has a great hook that is instant - really enjoyed this

This song had me hooked and wanting to hear more right from the onset. The lyrics are very believable and the melody is catchy and versatile while still hitting home with a strong message. This songs ability to instill an emotional reaction while simultaneously not going over the top or losing it's "easy listening" feel is excellent.

Emotive imagery in the lyric complemented by a strong vocal, but perhaps need a more strident melody for refrain ie 'peering out through the darkness...dreams get washed away' (think it sounds better second time, but I'm thinking more like the bit around c2:08 where the song threatens to take off but doesn't quite). Nevertheless, this is an excellent pop offering with a polished production/mix, and an acoustic guitar (i think!) that drives the upbeat feel of the song throughout.
