Story Behind The Song
I was totally un inspired after having to try and force myself to write something all day....finally I gave up. I went to rent some movies and find the strangest things possible to watch. I made my selections and my first to view was 2 am and it was "A Requiem For A Dream." I was shocked at this movie, the way it moved, the way it depicted how beautiful things can fall apart when your not in control.
Matt the next day was playing this goofy country song chord progression and as he did I wrote my own version of the point of the movie and sang it back to him. We both immedeatly watched the movie ( my second time ) and laughed our ass off about putting these lyrics to this chord progression. We are releasing a video for this song along with the album to hopefully tell the story a little better.
Song Description
This is about people who used to really have everything going for them and then they became heroin addicts and lost it all. We also thought it would be funny to put lyrics like this over this modern countryesque chord pattern. It may help people give it a second listen and realize how sad this story is.

Lyrics
We used to think that we knew everything
but maybe we fucked up.
It's hard to dig your way out of quicksand
and this game will never let you change
It'll just sink its teeth in
and make your cheeks thin
I wish we didn't need this so bad.
Peggy threw away her crucifix
now shes turning tricks so we can fix
mom faded away on an uppers kick.
We've been trying to get ourselves arranged
but everything is gone and we'd do anything
to fight this pain...that has us chained
to a needle and a belt to rise the vein
Tommy's throwing up on the floor
and he's so sick out of his brain
he'd do anything if he could score
what you will do is insane...
for a needle and a belt to rise the vein.
