"The Scars Within" -
Lyrics: Jesse Daily
Music & Production: Mitch Cooper

In the shadows of trauma, I learned to breathe
A rift at a tender age, the pain ran deep
With every blow, physical and mental strife
Neglect and abandonment, the cornerstones of life

These scars, they bear witness
To a love that shattered, yet refused to fade
In the battlefield of memories, I find my truth
Forging strength from the wreckage of my youth

Caught in the crossfire of dissension's bitter sting
Fighting to find peace, a constant, tumultuous thing
Shadows in the night, transient figures in the fray
Inflicting wounds deep, as the darkness holds sway

These scars, they bear witness
To a love that shattered, yet refused to fade
In the battlefield of memories, I find my truth
Forging strength from the wreckage of my youth

Amidst the chaos, a flicker of hope's embrace
Through the turmoil, finding my own space
Rising from the ashes, a phoenix takes flight
Embracing scars as symbols of my might

These scars, they bear witness
To a love that shattered, yet refused to fade
In the battlefield of memories, I find my truth
Forging strength from the wreckage of my youth

"Wanderlust" does it again! Talk about Anthemic Rock! "The Scars Within" is a take-no-prisoners battlefield of defying adversity. I love it! This song is why we have screaming guitars and pounding drums on God's green earth--to celebrate angst and victory. Wanderlust's guitar amps are on 11+. Louder is definitely better. The "Intro" guitar lick grabs you immediately and then there's no turning back, baby. When the band crashes in, you're on the ride of your life.
