Lyrics

Verse 1:
I'm sitting here alone
Just wishing you would come back home
Wondering if I'll ever hear your voice again
I put your favorite dress aside, a dozen roses and a bottle of wine just in case you ever let your heart back in.
Oh this is so hard to make it through. I ain't making it without you.

Chorus:
Baby come home
Kiss me like you always did when you were here wanting to be in my arms.
Now you're gone! You're not with me
You should be
Then you would hear me say this from my heart...
Baby come home.

Verse 2:
I remember the nights we held each other tight and swore we would always be together.
I swear it's true I ain't making it without you
So please give me one more smile!!

Definitely a professional touch here. Very nice hookish chorus. Strong voices - lead and backing. Effective, thoughtful lyrics. Accompanying instrumentation perfectly performed and placed. I am impressed. Kudos!

reminds me of the old country sound nice harmonies good theme

Not a bad tune. It's not the style of music that I usually listen too but it's pretty obvious from the get go that there is something good happening here. The vocal performance is tastefully done and well performed. The melody & hook work together very well. The production and mix are also spot on. Well done and thanks for not making my ears bleed. Lol!!!

David, I love voice.....Always good to hear you every time.........

Really effective intro with the building keyboard. Lovely chord sequence at 0.33. Very catchy, powerful chorus. The vocal delivery is excellent and lovely use of block vocals, particularly on the chorus. The instrumentation is spot on. Nice short lead guitar solo too. Loved the change of pace at 2.42. The quality of the recording is superb.

From the first lyric I was impressed. I am very critical and find listening to some of the songs I review I find difficult coming up with positive comments. In this case all good.

The country Twang is steller! production is outstanding, very pleasing to the ear, i see this song in a scene in the movie " Sweet Home Alabama, as her and her true love finally get back together.Great stuff!

From the intro to the outro, this song really shines as one that has had a lot of effort put into it. The song tells a good (though sad) story and the vocals are right on target, passionately sung and expertly mixed. Instrumentation suits the song beautifully. Great use of word pictures (dress, bottle of wine, roses, etc.) Excellent production values. Totally a winner (except he lost the gal).
