Story Behind The Song

This song was inspired by my real-life experiences. My Mom suffered from depression all throughout my childhood. My Dad was removed from the house when I was 14 for abuse. I always had my music though to keep me happy and inspired. I went to every show I could when my favorite bands would come around. If I met a famous musician, that would make my whole week. I would pick their brain and ask them all sorts of ridiculous questions because I just loved them so much. I wanted to trade in my fan hat though and start feeling what they felt on the other side : being a musician. I am happy to say I am still pursuing my dreams in music and I own a home studio where I make my music and help other artists create their projects too with everything from audio to HD video production :) Dreams can come true

Song Description

A song in three-part story form that tells of a boy's journey to fame despite a tough life. The story starts out at a show where the boy sees his favorite musician and asks "Hey there mister, will you please wait a minute and sign this for me?" He continues to profess his love for the music and how much tonight's performance inspired him to want to be FAMOUS which is highlighted in the chorus. The second verse explains how the boy doesn't have a great homelife. His Mom is depressed, and his father isn't around anymore. Despite the toxic environment, the boy decides to write a song : "I wrote a song to cure my woes, I wrote a song and here it goes, I wanna be famous" The intro melody resets the relaxed mood of the song before going into the third verse which tells of the boy finally grown up, playing music professionally. As he's loading up his gear for a show, he stops to appreciate the rockstar he met as a boy and tells him (in spirit) the great news that he's "gonna be famous" This song touches people on many levels because we all have dreams as a child of being something great. Some of us pursue them, few of us achieve them. This song gives hope to people wanting to schieve greatness on their own.
