Lyrics

Seize the night, seize the day!
It was never meant to be this way
Look up at the sky
And you will see the sun still shining
And the birds still softly sigh
Though the colours of the rainbows
May merge and turn to grey
But we hope and pray tomorrow
Will be more than just another day

A nation calls for claps and cheers
Laughter spills a thousand tears
Longing to embrace
For love can never keep its distance
In these strange and lonely times
We all want to get to heaven
But no-one wants to die
While others in their wisdom and their courage
Make that sacrifice

As I gaze out of my window
I can hear a sweet lullaby
And still the world keeps turning
So I'll be fine

The loudest roars, the silent sneers
Some only hear what they want to hear
Voices from the dark
Can our angels from the heavens help them?
But the songs remain the same
And the melodies of memory
The years will melt away
But the love I hold inside of me
Will last forever and a day

As I gaze out of my window
I can hear a sweet lullaby
And still the world is turning
So I'll be fine

Pretty song, well-played and sung. The tone on the guitar is really outstanding. I'd probably call this closer to folk than pop, but a lullaby is a lullaby. Overall very clean and solid. I think a minor re-mix would make this a bigger thumbs up.
