I'm Gonna Make You Love Me

Story Behind The Song

Long, long ago in a land far, far away, two singers joined their voices together and created a magical sound. Unfortunately they created it on cassette tape and we all know how time can degrade the quality of that delicate musical device. So, decades later, they journeyed back into the recording studio in an attempt to recreate the magic of their past sound. This is the result of that effort. Thanks to Bill Simpson, one of the most soulful (and handsome) singers I've ever had the good fortune to perform with and to know. If you like what you hear, listen to my remake of "Natural Woman" to hear what happens when a soulful singer and a songstress create a daughter whose voice is a magical blend of their two styles.
