Glory Hallelujah

Story Behind The Song

I was probably 12 years old when I wrote this song. I had just learned to play guitar and I felt compelled to write a Christmas song. My father, a minister, did not appreciate what he perceived as "liberties" I took with the concept of the birth of Christ. But I kept this in my arsenal and, ever so many years later, Bill Bentley turned it into this gospel tune. Listen to his awesome background vocal arrangement and to him singing all the male parts (especially the bass)!
