Story Behind The Song
Joni Mitchell is one of the greatest musical influences for me and this song in particular was always one of my favorites to sing because of the message and the amazing melody. Of course, I played it Joni-style, so when I brought it into the studio to include on my cover album, Bill Bentley performed his magic on it in a way that managed to retain the essence of the original song and performance while allowing me to put my own spin on it.
