The song begins with the chilling melody on just piano, then it transitions to cello. And then in the third part, the theme is heard in an eerie chorus. Each time the song grows in intensity and sadness, with embellishments in the melody. The song then ends with the same theme on just piano but an octave higher, echoing the beginning.
