Lyrics

"YOU'LL ALWAYS AFFECT ME"
By: Catherine Carney-Richman/Michael David Brown

Verse 1:

Have you ever thought about what you've done?
It just makes me want to cry
Do you know, how it feels, to love someone?
And still have to say goodbye?

I thought we were, the perfect painting
Each touch and tender stroke
Now I see, there's nothing left, remaining
but a mirror behind the smoke

PRECHORUS:

I've imploded and exploded
and re-enacted in my mind

In my perfect fairytale, when the guns were loaded
I still chose to be blind.
CHORUS:

I..... never thought that I'd get ..over you
Your embrace I'd no longer need...

I...... never thought this pain, could be soothed
These wounds would no longer bleed...
In, my mind, I set you free....

But, you will always.... Affect me....

Verse 2:

Awakened from this long sleep
I've come to realize
The place that I, thought was my, serenity
Was just a warehouse full of lies

The labyrinths in my nightmares
Led me to finally see
My mind's eye, was playing, tricks on me
Those illusions I now see

PRECHORUS:

I've imploded and exploded
and put myself through a thousand trials

In an obvious scary tale, when the guns were loaded
I buried my head in denial.

CHORUS:

I..... never thought that I'd, get over you
Your embrace I'd no longer need...

I...... never thought this pain, could be soothed
These wounds would no longer bleed...
In, my mind, I set you free....
But, you will always ...Affect me....

Verse 3:

Echoes ...once in the distance
I'm hearing loud and clear
I can dream again, and love with, no resistance
There is nothing more to fear.....
